We might not be world-renowned food critics (we're just Black Forest landscaping pros), but we thought we'd list some of the best restaurants in Black Forest, Colorado.

1. Black Forest Bistro If you're celebrating an anniversary or special birthday, then Black Forest Bistro is the place to go. The chef regularly switches out specials, making for a unique experience every time you go. Don't take our word for it, Black Forest Bistro has won awards from Food Network and Restaurant Guru.

The Steakhouse at Flying Horse Another option for a special occasion, The Steakhouse at Flying Horse is a contemporary restaurant in a beautiful Tuscan style villa with dazzling views of the Front Range. As the name implies, it's a great place to go for a good steak and a fine glass of wine.
   

3. Firehouse BBQ Let's get back to the everyday food options. Across from the Bistro sits Firehouse BBQ. This location boasts great meats as well as live music during the summer. It's located right by the community center, so swing by for an event and then treat yourself to some of the best BBQ in Black Forest.
   

4. Walters 303 Pizza lovers rejoice. Walters 303 is SEF's favorite pizza place in the Black Forest area. Just head east on North Gate, and you'll find Walters. And don't forget the cheesy bread!
   

5. Food Trucks at Black Forest Brewing Company If you're a fan of craft beer, then you'll want to check out Black Forest Brewing Company. If you're a fan of food trucks, you'll want to loiter around outside Black Forest Brewing Company. From tacos to bratwurst, fusion bowls to cajun po boys, you'll always have a great time at these food trucks.
   

6. Jing Young Chinese & Hot Pot Head out toward I-25 on Baptist, and you'll find Jing Young Chinese & Hot Pot. They serve a wide variety of Chinese dishes at affordable prices. Plus, they can handle gluten-free requests. If you're craving Chinese food in Black Forest, this is the place we recommend.

8. R&R Coffee Cafe (Closing) In 2023, R&R Coffee Cafe announced that they were closing their black forest location. For years, our landscape team relied on them for great food and coffee for years. Nothing beats their burritos or breakfast platters. While the physical location is closing, the owner is looking at other options. Stay connected here.
   

9. Mountain View Cafe and Catering While R&R Coffee Cafe will always have a special place in our hearts, Mountain View Cafe and Catering is an excellent breakfast spot as well. Grab a well-brewed cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast skillet. Sandwiches, pancakes, and eggs also grace their mouth-watering menu. Check it out.
